What are Wellbeing walks?
In addition to our Get Up and Go walks the council also coordinates a Wellbeing walks programme, which was formally known as Walking to health.
Wellbeing walks vary from 10 - 90 minutes maximum, and most walk have a shorter option available.
The walks are led by trained volunteer walk leaders and many of our regular walks have been going for years! New walkers are always welcomed as well as any one wanting to become a walk leader (scroll down this page).
To find a local walk visit the Havant wellbeing walks page which shows our current walks and next dates.

Wellbeing walk leader role
If you like walking and would like to support our existing walks or set up your own, why not thinking about becoming a leader? Wellbeing Walks are short, sociable walks lasting between 10 - 90 minutes. Training is free to do and is all online with no requirement to meet face to face. Once you have completed your training you will need to shadow a walk.
If you’re interested in volunteering some of your time to help support these incredible walks, please contact infogetupandgo@havant.gov.uk
