Family Bowling Open Day

Come and have a go, as a family, for FREE at the lovely Waterlooville Bowling Club! Lawn bowls is a summer sport, so you should get plenty of time to enjoy some fresh air and some sunshine. Unlike some other sports, lawn bowls is open to children and adults of all shapes and sizes. Lawn bowls rewards those who are dedicated and skillful, and anyone can do that! On this open day you can pop in and visit the beautifully refurbished club, have a go at Bowls games as a family, have some tasty food and find out more about the Get Up and Go programme and other opportunities. If you enjoy this session there will be the opportunity to book on a 2 week family course, starting the following Sunday 14th July 10am - 12pm (see other listing). The price of the 2 week course is just £5 per family, making it a fun way to get active together. There will also be a chance for you to join the club, with very reasonable rates including Juniors rate, which is just £5 for the year, including coaching! Please book below so that we have an idea of who to expect, but feel free to drop in at any time between 9.30am-12.30pm NEW for this year - the club has a new adapted wheelchair available (named Bowls Royce!) and adapted sports equipment for those who needed. There is nothing to bring other than clean, flat shoes to wear on the green (bring in a bag), comfortable clothes, and the will to play!
