Service Description

This session is all about increasing your knowledge in weightlifting and teaching you the importance in how to carry out weightlifting safely and effectively. Whether you want to weight lift in the gym or at home this course will benefit everyone. All abilities are welcome on this course, the qualified instructors will tailor the activities to each individuals needs. Here are the top reasons for adding strength training into your gym workouts: - Improved fat loss - More muscle, means more calories burnt - Stress relief - Increased energy - Healthy heart and bones - Reduced risk of injury We are hosting a 6 week course at the new Wellbeing hub (Horizon Leisure) for women in the borough to learn about lifting weights, in a safe environment with a trained professional. The aim of the course is to give the participants the confidence and skills to be able to continue strength training in gym environment or doing home workouts. Once you have completed the course we have weekly ladies that lift classes that you are welcome to attend. Get up and go is a project aimed at anyone living in the Havant borough aged 16+ looking to get physically active at a low cost.
