Havant Heritage Walks

These are bespoke walks in partnership with The Spring: It’s amazing what you can discover on your doorstep – a Roman road, a Victorian feud, medieval French monks, bygone breweries and more… This series of walks – organised by The Spring Arts & Heritage Centre – will cover the history of Havant, Emsworth and Hayling, and provide a friendly and sociable way of discovering your local history. Each walk costs just £5 and includes informative leaflets to take home and enjoy.

Week 1) Springs and Streams Walk: Thursday 5 September 10am, meeting at Homewell Spring Havant, 3.2 miles.

Week 2) A Time of War Walk: Thursday 12 September 10am, meeting at the free car park at Sinah Common Heavy Anti Aircraft (HAA) Site, 3.3 miles.

Week 3) 3000 Years of Changing Landscapes Walks Thursday 19 September 10am, meeting at The Spring Arts & Heritage Centre, 3.5 miles.

40 yards to the rear of St Faiths Churchyard. From the front of St Faiths Church in the middle of Town, (West Street) walk down the right side alongside the church yard, (Robin Hood pub on your right) carry straight on for about 40 yards, The Homewell is immediately in front of you surrounded by a small brick wall with a plaque on.
